Any CMPI data type that has MB implementation-dependent details or contains CMPI
data areas is called an encapsulated data type. An encapsulated data type
instance has two parts: a pointer to its MB-dependent implementation and a
pointer to the function table giving access to all operations supported by this
type. The operation repertoire of encapsulated data types is a major portion of
the CMPI interface. This repertoire includes, at a minimum, lifecycle operations
(release and clone).
